Denise LaCongo

Denise LaCongo is the Director of Production for the adult book publishing division at Abrams Books, where they collaborate with a diverse team to create high-quality illustrated books. Denise previously held the position of Associate Director of Production at Abrams from 2017 to 2025 and served over a decade at Hachette Book Group as a Senior Production Manager. Their earlier experience includes roles with Galison/Mudpuppy as a Production Coordinator, and they earned a BA in English Literature and Women's Studies from the University at Buffalo, followed by an MFA in Creative Writing/Poetry from Brooklyn College.
