Kristen Luby has a diverse work experience in the publishing industry. Kristen started their career as an intern at First Book in 2010 and then went on to work as a Digital Intern at HarperCollins Publishers and Hachette Book Group in 2011. In 2012, they interned at Folio Literary Management and also worked as a Marketing & Publicity Intern at Smithsonian Books. Kristen then joined Penguin Random House as a Marketing Assistant from 2013 to 2015, and later became a Marketing Associate from 2015 to 2017. From 2018 to 2021, they worked at Macmillan as a Marketing Manager for School & Library, and then as a Senior Marketing Manager. Currently, they hold the position of Associate Director of School & Library Marketing at ABRAMS since January 2023.
Kristen Luby received their secondary education from Communications High School from 2005 to 2009. Following that, they pursued further studies at The George Washington University from 2009 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in English and Psychology.
