Michael Blair

Michael Blair currently serves as the Global Head of Investment Risk & Process at abrdn since December 2021, having previously held various roles within the organization, including Global Head of Investment Risk and Global Head of Equity Investment Risk. Prior to joining abrdn, Michael held the position of Head of Investment Risk at Hargreaves Lansdown from August 2020 to December 2021 and served as Head of Investment Risk and Portfolio Analytics at Martin Currie from May 2011 to July 2020. Michael’s earlier career includes roles in quantitative equity trading at Automat Ltd and Bank of America Merrill Lynch, as well as data management at JPMorgan Chase & Co. and programming at Citi. Michael holds a BSc (Hons) 1st in Economics & Computing Science from the University of Glasgow, obtained between 1999 and 2003.
