Philip Thornton

Philip Thornton is an experienced network engineering professional with a diverse background in various roles across several leading companies. Currently serving as a Senior Network Engineer and previously as a Network Consultant at abrdn since April 2020, Philip has demonstrated expertise in network design and management. Prior to this, Philip held positions at RBS as a Network Consultant, at the Student Loans Company as a Network Engineer, and at Hewlett Packard Enterprise as a Cloud Services Network Engineer. Philip also worked as an IT Infrastructure Analyst at Martin Currie and began a career in IT support at Merck as an IT Support Technician. Philip holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications from Glasgow Caledonian University, earned between 2006 and 2009.
