Gavin Jefferies

Gavin Jefferies has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Gavin served as the Director of Communications and Strategy at Abri Group and later transitioned into the role of Director of Communications. At L&Q, a charitable housing association, they held the positions of Assistant Director, Partnerships and External Affairs, and Interim Assistant Director of Communications. As the Director of Communications at the British Horseracing Authority, Gavin provided counsel on internal and external communications and led a team focusing on press, digital and social media, internal and stakeholder communications, events, and campaigns. Gavin also held various roles at HM Revenue & Customs, serving as the Deputy Director, Corporate Communications and Head of External Affairs. Additionally, Gavin worked at Lloyds Bank in different capacities, including Brand and Market Development Director, Corporate Markets, Head Of Marketing, Customer Segmentation and Strategy, and Head of Strategy, Business Planning, and Research. Overall, their expertise lies in communications, strategy, marketing, and leadership.

Gavin Jefferies has an extensive education history. In 1982, they attended the Institute of Bankers and obtained their Associate Chartered Institute of Bankers (ACIB) degree, specializing in Banking and Financial Services. Gavin continued their studies at the same institute from 1984 to 1986 and earned a Financial Studies Diploma.

In 1998, Gavin pursued a Postgraduate Marketing Diploma MCIM from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, focusing on Marketing. Following this, they enrolled at the Oxford School of Marketing in 2012 and completed the CAM Digital Marketing Diploma, which included studies in Digital Marketing and Social Media.

In 2012, Gavin also attended the Chartered Institute of Public Relations for the Executive Communications Diploma. This program provided him with knowledge in Strategic Communications, Modern Media Management, and Internal Communications.

Gavin then pursued a Strategic Communication Leadership Postgraduate Diploma at The University of Huddersfield from 2014 to 2015, specializing in Communications Leadership. Finally, they attended the University of Bath from 2000 to 2003, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Management.
