Davis Liang

Davis Liang is a highly experienced research scientist and manager currently at Abridge, where the focus is on innovating healthcare through conversations. Prior to Abridge, Davis served as a senior research scientist at Meta, leading efforts in multilingual and multimodal language modeling and overseeing the pretraining of foundational models. At Amazon Web Services, contributions were made to key AI services, including Amazon Transcribe and Amazon Kendra. Earlier experience includes a role as a software engineer at Yahoo!, specializing in content ranking, and a research fellowship at Carnegie Mellon University, focusing on computational neuroscience. Davis holds a Master of Science in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, both from UC San Diego.
