Anju Valookkaran

Anju Valookkaran has over 16 years of work experience. Anju began their career in 2005 as an Engineer at Caritor Solutions India Pvt Ltd, where they worked until September 2006. In 2007, they joined the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) as a Senior Engineer and served in this role for ten years until 2017. Anju then became a Managing Principal Engineer at ABS from April 2017 to July 2023. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Managing Principal Engineer at ABS, starting in July 2023.

Anju Valookkaran has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, obtained between 2022 and 2024. Prior to this, they completed a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Houston from 2008 to 2011. Anju'sundergraduate education was at Govt. Engineering College, Thrissur (University of Calicut), where they earned a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from 2001 to 2005. In addition, they hold a Professional Engineer certification from the Texas Board of Professional Engineers, obtained in 2016.
