Bill Leyrer

Bill Leyrer currently serves as Managing Principal Engineer in the SED Load Line & Stability Group at the American Bureau of Shipping, a position held since April 2003. Leyrer has advanced through various roles within the company, including Senior Engineer in the Naval Engineering, Technical Consistency, and Total Quality Management Departments, as well as Engineer in the Ship and Naval Engineering Departments. Prior to joining the American Bureau of Shipping, Leyrer worked as a Naval Architect at Murray & Associates, focusing on yacht design and cruise ship naval architecture. Leyrer's educational background includes a Bachelor of Engineering in Naval Architecture from the State University of New York Maritime College and a Certificate in Yacht Design from The Landing School.
