Chenxi (Chase) Ji, Ph.D., PMP has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. Chenxi (Chase) is currently serving as the Energy Analytics Lab Lead at the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), where they are responsible for leading the lab and developing methodologies, tools, and services related to ESG, GHG emissions, CCUS&AF, and other areas of interest relating to the Global Sustainability Team. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Sustainability Engineer at ABS, where they focused on carbon capture and alternative fuels, conducted seminars and workshops, and attended industry events and conferences related to the decarbonization performance of marine vessels and offshore units.

Before joining ABS, Chenxi worked at ABS Group as a Marine Global Consultant and Alternative Fuel Specialist. At this role, they provided consulting services and expertise in alternative fuels and served as a subject matter expert. Chenxi (Chase) also contributed to market research and database updates. Moreover, they have also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Texas A&M University, conducting research under the supervision of Prof. Mahmoud M. El-Halwagi and Prof. Chenxi (Chase) earned their Ph.D. from Texas A&M University in 2021.

Chenxi's previous experience includes working as a Gas Market Analyst at RBAC, Inc., where they developed LNG charter rate and LNG fleet emission models, and as an Assistant Professor and Lecturer at Dalian Maritime University, where they instructed undergraduate students and professional seafarers on various topics related to marine navigation, ship safety management, nautical English, and more. Chenxi (Chase) also served as the chief internal auditor for the Annual Audit of Quality Management System of DNV during their time at the university. Prior to that, they worked as a Research Associate of Coastal Construction Risk Assessment at Dalian Maritime University, conducting research on safety analysis and feasibility of port engineering.

Chenxi's work experience is complemented by their involvement in various organizations, including serving as the Vice President of the Texas A&M University Chinese Students and Scholars Association and working as an Assistant Ship Surveyor at the Inland Water Safety Administration of Shandong Province. Overall, Chenxi's work experience showcases their expertise in sustainability, alternative fuels, research, and academia.

Chenxi (Chase) Ji, Ph.D., PMP has a diverse education history. Chenxi (Chase) obtained their Doctor of Philosophy in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University in 2021, specializing in Safety Engineering. Prior to that, they completed a Master's degree in Safety Engineering at Texas A&M University in 2017 and a Bachelor's degree in Marine Science & Technology at Dalian Maritime University. Additionally, they pursued a Master's degree in Transportation Engineering with a focus on Marine Science and Technology at Dalian Maritime University.

Alongside their main degrees, Chenxi has also acquired several certifications. These include the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in 2022, as well as certifications in sustainability strategies, deep learning, statistical analysis, and hazard analysis. Chenxi (Chase) also holds the Chemical Engineer EIT designation from the Texas Board of Professional Engineers.
