Chris Barry

Chris Barry has extensive experience in marine surveying and classification, with a career spanning over three decades. At the American Bureau of Shipping, Chris held various positions, including Assistant Chief Surveyor and Senior Principal Surveyor, contributing significantly to the Americas Survey Department from September 1997 until retirement in January 2016. Prior to this, Chris worked as a Marine Superintendent at Tidewater Marine and served as a Deck Officer in multiple roles at Tidewater Marine and MEBA AMO. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Transportation from Texas A&M University and is certified as a NACE Coating Inspector at levels 1 and 2.
