Franck Violette has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Franck began their career as a Freelance worker from 1981 to 1988. In 1989, they joined Lloyd's Register, where they held positions as a Senior Naval Architect and Senior Surveyor. During their time at Lloyd's Register, they led engineering teams, developed structural reliability models, and managed joint development projects and R&D contracts. In 2002, they joined MBright as part of the founding team, focusing on business planning and development. From 2003 to 2016, they worked at the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), holding various roles including Vice President, Director, and Executive Assistant. Their responsibilities at ABS included corporate business planning and analysis, operational and environmental performance, energy efficiency, technology and business development, and engineering. Franck Violette holds a PhD and an MBA, and their expertise lies in ship design, performance analysis, and environmental efficiency.

Franck Violette has a diverse education history. Franck started their academic journey at Nantes Université, where they earned a DUT degree in Mechanical Engineering + Robotics in 1984. Franck then pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (MEng) in Ship Science at the University of Southampton from 1985 to 1989.

Following this, Franck went on to attain their PhD in Naval Architecture with a specialization in Fatigue/Fracture from the University of Southampton, completing their doctoral studies from 1989 to 1997.

In 2001, Franck pursued further studies in business administration, earning an MBA from Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business in 2003. Later, they embarked on a Master of Sustainability Leadership program at the University of Cambridge, specializing in Sustainability Leadership, which they completed in 2017.

In terms of additional certifications, Franck Violette has received multiple qualifications. Franck has obtained certifications in Data Science, including the "Data Scientist with R Track," "Financial Trading in R," and "Intermediate R for Finance" from DataCamp. Franck has also achieved a distinction in "The Age of Sustainable Development" course offered by Columbia University on Coursera in 2014.
