Hui dong Bea, PE, PMP has a diverse work experience in the marine engineering industry. Hui dong started their career as a Surveyor at the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) in 2008, where they monitored and inspected ship and semi-submersible new construction processes. Hui dong then moved on to various engineering roles at ABS, including Engineer II, Senior Engineer I, and Senior Engineer II. In these roles, they conducted design reviews, managed cross-functional teams, and mentored new engineers. Currently, Hui dong Bea is working as a Principal Engineer at ABS, spearheading piping and safety engineering efforts for emerging alternative marine propulsion technologies. Hui dong also leads the development of risk analyses and is recognized as a Subject Matter Expert in fire and safety engineering.
Hui dong Bea, PE, PMP holds a Master's degree in Ocean Engineering from Texas A&M University, which was obtained from 2012 to 2013. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor's degree in Ocean Engineering at the same university from 2004 to 2007. In terms of additional certifications, Hui dong Bea obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in 2021. Hui dong is also a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, as well as Fire Protection, certified by the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors in 2019.
