Jess Totten is a highly experienced engineering professional currently serving as the Managing Principal Engineer at the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) since April 2018. With a robust background at ABS and affiliated companies, starting in March 2008 as a Senior Engineer II, Jess has successfully managed critical projects for the US Navy and supervised technical reviews conducted by junior engineers. Prior experience includes a role as an Engineer at TDW Services, where Jess designed and oversaw the construction of equipment for subsea pipeline isolation. Jess holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, obtained in 2004, and attended Rice University for a year studying Mechanical Engineering.
