Lesley Swearingen

Lesley Swearingen is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in marine engineering and surveyor roles, currently serving as Assistant Chief Surveyor at the American Bureau of Shipping since January 2007. Key responsibilities include designing new survey process instructions and leading training for materials and equipment surveys. Previous roles include Senior Principal Surveyor and Hemisphere Lead Surveyor, along with marine survey assignments that encompassed both new construction and aging vessels. Lesley also served as a Lieutenant in the US Navy Reserve and held engineering positions at Marinette Marine Corporation and Northrop Grumman-Newport News. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Integrated Supply Chain Management from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and a Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering from the United States Merchant Marine Academy.
