Brendan Stoffels

Brendan Stoffels is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in municipal prosecution and public prosecution. Currently serving as a Municipal Prosecutor for the City of Cape Town since July 2022, Brendan also holds a position as a Public Prosecutor with the National Prosecuting Authority, focusing on criminal court litigation and related legal matters since March 2020. Brendan's previous roles include serving as a Financial Crime Due Diligence Consultant at Absa and as a Candidate Attorney at Legal Aid South Africa from February 2017 to March 2020. Brendan's legal career began with an internship at the City of Cape Town and a position as a Legal Advisor at Exigent Group Limited. Brendan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) from the University of the Western Cape, obtained in 2015, and completed secondary education at Kuils River Technical High.
