David Cillie`

David Cillie has extensive experience in executive protection and security. Their most recent role was as Head of High Risk Personnel at Absa Group, where they were responsible for the security needs of the executive committee and threatened staff worldwide. David managed a team of 19 direct reports and oversaw services such as threat analysis, close protection, and travel advice. Prior to that, they served as Vice President of Executive Protection for Africa at Absa Group. David has also held managerial positions at Dynamic Alternatives PTY LTD, where they were responsible for training and operations, and ABSA Capital, where they were a team leader in close protection. David also has experience as a freelance close protection officer and as a general manager at Execusec Management Pty LTD.

David Cillie has a diverse education history. In 1993 to 1998, they attended the University of Johannesburg where they pursued an N Diploma in Chiropractic (Part). In 1999 to 2001, they studied at Execusec Management and completed a Certificate Course in Close Protection. In 2008, David obtained an ITLS-Basic certification from the International Trauma Life Support. David then attended the International Firearm Training Academy in 2010 and became an Advanced Level Firearm Instructor. That same year, they also completed a SAQA Registered Course in Close Protection from Dynamic Alternatives. In 2011, David received a Level 3 Certificate in Close Protection from City and Guilds. David's most recent educational endeavor was in 2016 at L&S Threat Management, where they pursued a degree in Threat Analysis and Management. Additionally, in 2014, they obtained a Diploma in Security Management from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika.
