Dean started their career at Barclays Africa Group Limited in 2014, where they served as the Head of Transactional Product Commercialisation until 2019. Dean then joined Absa Group, where they held several leadership positions, including Head of Transactional Banking Sales & Solutions - CIB from 2019 to 2022, Head Client Solutions, Enablement and Analytics from 2022 to 2023, and currently serves as the Managing Director and Head of Payments, Collections & Pricing (Pan Africa) since 2023.
Dean Barclay earned a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Business Management from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika.
