Dr Steven Zwane

Dr. Steven Zwane is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in operational leadership and strategic management across various sectors. Currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at Absa Group, Dr. Zwane drives operational excellence, oversees transformation programs, and manages governance and risk. Previous roles include Managing Member at PAPO Communications, Chief Executive Officer of the National Student Fund Aid Scheme, and Chief Operations Officer at Barclays Africa Group Limited. Dr. Zwane's entrepreneurial spirit is demonstrated through the founding of YLED, aimed at improving youth performance in education. Dr. Zwane holds a Doctor of Business Administration from Durham University Business School, along with an MBA and other qualifications in business administration and technology.
