Fayyaz Mottiar

Fayyaz Mottiar, CFA, currently serves as the Head of Listed Property at Sanlam Investments since December 2022. Prior to this role, Fayyaz held various positions at ABSA Asset Management from May 2007, including Head of the Listed Property Franchise, Analyst/Portfolio Manager, Proprietary Trader, and Investment Structuring Consultant. Fayyaz's career also includes experience at STANLIB Asset Management from April 2000 to January 2006, where roles included Fixed Interest Dealer/Portfolio Manager and Equity Dealer. Earlier, Fayyaz worked as a Junior Equity Derivatives Trader at Nedcor Investment Bank from November 1998 to March 2000. Fayyaz holds a CFA designation from the CFA Institute (2006-2009) and a Bachelor of Economics and Computer Science from the University of the Witwatersrand (1992-1997).
