Hasnen Varawalla

Hasnen Varawalla has a diverse work experience spanning over several prominent companies. Hasnen started their career in 1988 at Tata Sons Limited as part of the Tata Administrative Service. In 1995, they joined Credit Suisse where they held various roles, eventually becoming a Managing Director in 2006. In 2006, they moved to Renaissance Capital where they served as the Deputy Head of Investment Banking and later as the Chairman of the Macquarie Renaissance Infrastructure Fund. In 2013, Varawalla joined Barclays Corporate & Investment Bank as a Managing Director in the Investment Banking division. Currently, they are working at Absa Group as the Managing Director and Co-Head of Investment Banking Origination, a role they assumed in May 2019.

Hasnen Varawalla completed an MBA in Business from IMD in 1994. Prior to that, they obtained a B. Tech. in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay from 1982 to 1986. From 1986 to 1988, they pursued a PGDM in Business from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.
