Kevin Naik

Kevin Naik is an accomplished database and IT professional with extensive experience in database management and infrastructure solutions. Currently serving as the Head of Databases at Absa Group since April 2017, Kevin oversees various database technologies including Oracle, SQL, and MongoDB. Previously, Kevin held multiple leadership roles at Standard Bank from January 2002 to April 2017, including Head of Database and Middleware and Head of Global Technology Infrastructure, focusing on database product strategy and service strategy. Earlier in the career, Kevin served as an Oracle Database Consultant at XON and started as a Graduate Trainee at EDS Group, where foundational skills in database administration were developed. Kevin holds a BSc degree in Physics and Computer Science from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
