Koketso Morakile has a diverse and extensive work experience. They started their career as a Student Intern at KPMG South Africa in 2013. They then progressed through various roles at the same company, including Trainee Accountant, Accountant, Senior Accountant, Learning and Development Facilitator, and Supervisor. In 2016, they joined KPMG US as a Senior Associate. In 2019, they moved to SA Taxi as a Business Insights and Special Projects Analyst, responsible for analyzing and presenting data for informed decision-making. They also worked as an Assistant Vice President in Sustainable Finance at Absa Group, focusing on developing sustainable finance solutions for clients and implementing sustainability strategies. In 2022, they were promoted to Vice President in the same field.
Koketso Morakile CA(SA) obtained a National Senior Certificate from The Glen High School in 2010. They went on to attend the University of the Witwatersrand, where they earned a Bachelor of Accounting Sciences degree from 2011 to 2014. In 2015, they completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Accountancy at the University of the Witwatersrand. Koketso Morakile CA(SA) has also obtained additional certifications including Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) in 2020, Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) - First Time Pass in 2018, APT Professional Competence Development Programme (Pass with Distinction) in 2017, Initial Test of Competence (ITC) - First Time Pass in 2016, and became a member of the Golden Key Honours Society in 2011.
