Marna Schoeman

Marna Schoeman is an experienced Strategic Programme Manager at Absa Group, with a focus on regulatory reporting and implementation of financial systems, particularly in relation to IFRS standards. Since joining Absa in October 2015, Marna has held several critical roles, including Programme Director for Prudential Authority Regulatory Reporting and acting CFO for the IFRS 17 Center of Excellence. Previous experience includes significant portfolio and programme management roles with Standard Bank Group, Absa, Barclays, and Rand Merchant Bank Asset Management, where Marna was involved in regulatory compliance, banking system implementations, and liquidity risk projects. Educational qualifications include a PMP certification and various project management and IT certifications, complemented by a BCom in Informatics from the University of Pretoria.
