Thato Tukisi

Thato Tukisi has extensive experience in the banking industry, with a focus on transactional banking and sales. Thato started their career at Standard Bank Group in 2009 as an intern before moving on to various roles within the company, including Product Manager and MIS Analyst. In 2015, Thato joined Standard Bank Corporate and Investment Banking as a Transactional Banker, and later became a Transactional Banker Associate. In 2018, they joined Nedbank CIB as a Transactional Banker. Currently, Thato is the VP: Senior Sales Originator at Absa Group, a position they started in August 2021.

Thato Tukisi completed a Professional Director (PD) SA: Certificate of Professional Designation from the Directors Association in 2022. In 2020-2021, Thato pursued a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Development Finance at Stellenbosch Business School, and in 2018-2019, completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Development Finance at the same institution. Thato also obtained a Global Trade Certification from ICC Academy in 2017. Their education journey began with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mathematics and Statistics from North-West University / Noordwes-Universiteit in 2011-2012.
