Yaz Etwaroo

Yaz Etwaroo is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in investment banking and corporate finance. Currently serving as the Head of Financial Institutions Group and Global Business at Absa Group since April 2021, Yaz previously held the position of Director in Investment Banking at UBS from 2018 to April 2021, specializing in cross-product services for Power, Utilities, and Infrastructure clients. Prior roles include Associate at Barclays Investment Bank and a corporate finance position at KPMG. Yaz holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Management Practice from Henley Business School, has passed CFA levels 1 and 2 from the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute, and is a qualified ACA from ICAEW. Yaz earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Economics (cum laude) from Laurentian University, Canada, and completed A levels at the Royal College, Port Louis.
