Zeenat Hassim

Zeenat Hassim has a diverse work experience in the technology and financial industries. Zeenat began their career at KPMG Advisory, where they worked as a Manager in IT Advisory from 2008 to 2012. Zeenat then joined Absa as a Manager in IT Governance and Risk Reporting from 2012 to 2013. Zeenat then moved to Barclays Africa Group Limited, where they held various roles including Head of Technology Risk GTIS, Head of Governance & Control - Infrastructure Services, and Head of Technology Integrated Planning from 2013 to 2021. Currently, Zeenat is working at Absa Group as a Lead Technology Partner, responsible for overseeing technology initiatives and managing risk and control in everyday banking.

Zeenat Hassim has a Bachelor's degree in Information Management from the University of Johannesburg, which they obtained between 2003 and 2006. Additionally, they have completed various certifications through ISACA, including CGEIT - Certified in the governance of enterprise IT in 2012, Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) in 2010, and Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC). Zeenat has also participated in the Business Competence Development Programme offered by the Gordon Institute of Business Science.
