Borka Medjo

Borka Medjo has extensive experience in data science and engineering, currently working as a Data Scientist and AI Engineer at Absci since June 2021. Prior to this role, Borka served as a Machine Learning Engineer at Totient from March 2017 to June 2021, focusing on data cleaning, exploration, visualization, and deep learning model development. Borka's earlier experience includes a position as an R&D Bioinformatics Engineer at Seven Bridges, where genomic data analysis and graph-based DNA alignment were key responsibilities. Previously, a Java Developer role at eFront involved backend development for a web-based business application, and an internship at Inserm included significant work on 4D MRI data and the development of a C++ application for signal processing. Borka also has academic experience as a Teaching Assistant at the Faculty of Mathematics, University of Belgrade, and an internship at NBS involving application development in Oracle tools. Borka holds a Master’s Degree in Mathematical Engineering from the University of Lille 1 Sciences and Technology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematical Statistics and Probability from the University of Belgrade.
