Jibran Khan, Ph.D., currently serves as a Scientist II and previously as a Scientist I in strain engineering at Absci since August 2021. Prior experience includes a research volunteer position at San Jose State University and graduate assistant roles at Texas A&M University, where Jibran focused on metagenomics and microbiological education. Notable accomplishments include developing genetic tools during an internship at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Jibran Khan holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology with a focus on synthetic biology and bacterial genetics from Texas A&M University, an MS in Biotechnology from The University of Texas at San Antonio, and an Advanced Diploma in Bioinformatics. The academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology from Savitribai Phule Pune University.
