Kryste Carter currently serves as the Director of Grants for the Absentee Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma since April 2019, bringing considerable expertise in tribal government and grant management. Previously, Kryste served as a Grants Writer at the College of the Muscogee Nation from July 2017 to April 2019 and held various roles within the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Department of Education and Training, including Bursar and Academic Resource Specialist from October 2016 to July 2017. Other roles include Resource Development Specialist at the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Higher Education Scholarship Foundation Program and Indian Education High School Academic Advisor at Charles Page High School. Kryste began a career in finance as a Vault Clerk at Riverwind Casino from May 2012 to September 2013. Educational credentials include a Master of Education in Adult and Higher Education from The University of Oklahoma and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science/Public Administration from Northeastern State University.
