Alex Scott

Alex Scott has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. They started their career at Cyprotex as an Associate Scientist, specializing in early phase drug discovery assays. They focused on measuring physical chemistry properties of compounds to determine their potential for further development.

Afterward, Alex worked as an Organic Chemist at Apex Molecular Ltd, a chemistry CRO. They were involved in medicinal chemistry projects for drug discovery. Their role primarily included synthesis, characterization, and purification of desired medicinal compounds. They also assisted in the interpretation of ADME/PK data to modify compounds for further progression as oral drug candidates.

Currently, Alex is employed at Absolute Antibody as a Business Development Manager. Their responsibilities involve providing customers with access to custom antibody services, including antibody engineering, expression, and sequencing. They ensure the delivery of high-quality research materials and offer expertise in recombinant monoclonal antibodies.

Alex Scott attended the University of Bath from 2014 to 2018, where they pursued a Masters degree in Chemistry (MChem).
