Greg Borrud

Greg Borrud is an accomplished game industry professional with extensive experience in leadership and development roles. Currently serving as Head of Games at Absurd Ventures since March 2023, Borrud focuses on storytelling and philanthropy. Previously, Borrud held the position of General Manager/VP of Games at Niantic, Inc. from July 2018 to December 2022, overseeing all phases of development after Seismic Games was acquired. As Co-Founder and CEO of Seismic Games from January 2011 to December 2022, Borrud led the studio in creating successful titles such as Marvel Strikeforce and Blade Runner Revelations. Additionally, Borrud co-founded Pandemic Studios, where significant contributions were made to the development of iconic games like Star Wars Battlefront and Mercenaries. Earlier in Borrud's career, roles included VP/COO at Electronic Arts and Producer at Activision. Borrud holds a BA in Theater from California State University, Long Beach, and previously attended New York University.
