Mark Vernon

Mark Vernon is a seasoned game designer with extensive experience in the gaming industry. Currently serving as a Senior Game Designer at Absurd Ventures since July 2025, Mark previously held positions including Senior Combat Designer at Crystal Dynamics from January 2024 to April 2025, and Senior Game Designer at Calypte - A Virtuos Studio from July 2023 to October 2023. Prior to that, Mark worked as a Senior Game Designer at PlayStation focusing on an unannounced project from January 2023 to July 2023, and spent nearly nine years at Ubisoft, contributing to projects like XDefiant and Tom Clancy's XDefiant, as well as South Park: The Fractured But Whole. Mark holds an Associate's Degree in Game Development from Flashpoint Academy and began education at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
