Basil Alshabi

Basil Alshabi, IAP, serves as the Head of Food & Beverages at Abu Dhabi Airports since June 2015, with responsibilities including managing lounges and third-party concession activities, as well as identifying new hospitality business opportunities within the airport ecosystem. Prior to this role, Basil worked at Etisalat in various capacities, including Director of Branding & Customer Experience, where success included developing sales strategies for multiple regions and enhancing customer service culture. Other positions at Etisalat involved leading sales and distribution in Afghanistan, expanding the UAE retail network, and managing marketing efforts in Nigeria. Basil holds a Bachelor's degree in Geography with a minor in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, completed between 1991 and 1997.
