Rainer Wiegand

Rainer Wiegand is an experienced hospitality professional currently serving as the Director of Operations at The Westin Abu Dhabi Golf Resort & Spa since August 2017. Before this role, Rainer worked at Marriott International as the Area Director of Operational Innovation from April 2017, following a significant tenure at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc., where Rainer held various positions including Area Director of Operational Innovation and Director of Six Sigma. Rainer's educational background includes a Bachelor of Hospitality Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality Administration/Management from the Swiss Hotel Management School, completed between 2001 and 2004.
