Hussein Shafik Bahgat

Hussein Shafik Bahgat currently serves as the Group Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and Privacy at ADIB - Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank since January 2023, bringing extensive experience in cybersecurity and risk management. Previously, Hussein worked at Standard Chartered Bank from February 2015 to December 2022 as the Global Head of Special Engagements - CISO, overseeing third-party risk assessments and partnerships, and held various CISO roles across Africa, the Middle East, and the UAE, where responsibilities included regional cyber risk oversight and governance. Additional experience includes leadership positions at Piraeus Bank, where Hussein was responsible for information security compliance and project management, as well as a network supervisory role at Egyptian International Motors. Hussein holds a Master's degree in IT Governance from Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management and a degree in Business Administration from Ain Shams University.
