Serhan Gokturk

Serhan Gokturk is the Chief Risk Officer at Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) where he leads the enterprise-wide level risk management activities from operational, technological, financial, strategic, legal, and environmental perspectives by maintaining a systematic and integrated risk methodology.

He is a capital market professional with more than 20 years of experience in the securities exchanges industry mainly in terms of risk management, audit, and market surveillance functions. Before joining ADX in 2022, Serhan held several technical and managerial roles in Borsa Istanbul and Saudi Tadawul Group where he actively contributed to various transformation projects.

Mr. Gokturk holds a Master’s (MSc) in Capital Markets from the University of Reading (ICMA Centre), an Executive MBA from Istanbul Technical University and a Ph.D. candidacy in Economics from Istanbul University while having several title certificates (CIA, CFE, ICMAc, ISO22301) and providing training and advisory sessions in various institutions including EU Joint Research Centre, ACFE, IIA and Cambridge University.
