Shamal Kumar

Shamal Kumar is an experienced manager in strategy and business intelligence, currently serving at Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange since January 2022. Prior to this role, Shamal held several positions at RAKBANK from August 2014 to December 2021, including Senior Manager of Group Strategy, where responsibilities included developing a three-year strategic plan and managing key performance tracking frameworks. Shamal also contributed as a founding member of the Transformation Team, implementing bank-wide initiatives using Lean methodology, and was involved in establishing a Project Management Office under the COO. Previous experience includes consulting at Accenture, leading consumer business development at CIMB, and working in tax advisory at EY. Shamal holds a Master of Letters in International Business from the University of St. Andrews and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Business Economics and Management from the University of Nottingham.
