Following this, they conducted research in Population Genetics as a researcher at the University of Maryland from 2002 to 2004. Hawaa then pursued their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, completing it between 2004 and 2008. Almansoori went on to complete their Internal Medicine Residency from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences from 2008 to 2011. Finally, they undertook a Fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism, also at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, from 2011 to 2013.
