Hussein AlSarabi

Hussein AlSarabi is an experienced technology professional with a diverse range of roles and responsibilities. Hussein began their career as a Business Development Manager at Takaful in 2012 before moving on to found and serve as the General Manager of Bangaia from 2008 to 2014. During this time, they also worked as a Trainer and Consultant at Innovative.im from 2013 to 2014, and as a Freelance Trainer conducting courses, conferences, and events from 2008 to 2016.

In 2014, AlSarabi founded the company Zaawi before transitioning to a role as the Product Development Director at Mawdoo3.com in 2015. At Mawdoo3.com, they directed the Product and Technology Department, overseeing system architecture, development, scalability, security, and operations.

AlSarabi's expertise in technology and infrastructure led him to work as a Technology and Infrastructure Consultant at Mawdoo3.com from 2016 to 2017. Hussein successfully moved the entire infrastructure of the product to Amazon Web Services (AWS) and built customized scalability and security solutions. Hussein also established maintenance and product development roadmaps.

In 2016, AlSarabi joined MyRelated as the Chief Technology Officer. MyRelated is the first content discovery platform in the Middle East for Arabic users. It utilizes smart technology to recommend related content based on behaviors, content relativity, and trending.

In 2015, AlSarabi co-founded Instructit and held the role of Co-founder until 2019.

Most recently, in 2019, AlSarabi co-founded Abwaab and currently serves as the Co-founder and CTO.

Hussein AlSarabi obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics Engineering from Princess Sumaya University for Technology, completing their studies from 2005 to 2009. Hussein then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Management at German Jordanian University - Talal Abu Ghazalah School of Business, where they attended from 2009 to 2012. Later on, Hussein pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science (MSCS) with a specialization in Interactive Intelligence at the Georgia Institute of Technology, from 2017 to 2021. In addition to their formal education, Hussein also obtained certifications in Behavorial-Driven Development from LinkedIn in September 2019, and in Algorithmic Toolbox from Coursera Course Certificates in July 2016.
