Gil Galvan

Program Manager / Commodity buyer at ABX Engineering

Gil Galvan has a long and varied career in the aviation industry. Gil began their career in 1987 as a Staff Representative at United Airlines. Over the next five years, they held various positions including Business Analyst, Customer Service Agent, Sr. Staff Analyst, and International Special Assignment. In 1992, they were promoted to Project Manager - Aircraft Modifications, where they managed aircraft interior modification projects totaling $70M and directed teams through project planning. Gil also successfully generated $12M in sales as an Account Executive. In 2009, Gil moved to HEICO Aerospace as a Strategic Account Manager, where they were responsible for the development, sale, and distribution of aircraft related parts. In 2013, they joined Actuate/OpenText as a Project Manager and managed pricing, product catalog, sales quote and order documents used by field sales. Finally, in 2015, Gil joined Menzies Aviation as an Account Manager, where they managed operational teams to deliver excellent and safe performance on the ramp and cabin. In 2016, Gil moved to ABX Engineering as a Program Manager / Commodity buyer, where they are responsible for full turnkey manufacturing, from prototype through volume turnkey manufacturing to box build assembly.

Gil Galvan attended San Jose State University from 1982 to 1986, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautics.
