Nasir Ahsan

Nasir Ahsan is the CEO and Co-Founder of Abyss Solutions Pty Ltd, a position held since June 2014. Previously, Ahsan worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Sydney from June 2015 to June 2016, focusing on weed mapping through aerial drone footage. Prior experience includes a role as a Research Associate at the University of Sydney, where Ahsan applied machine learning to enhance adaptive sampling strategies for an autonomous drill. Additional roles include a Navigator Intern at Ocean Exploration Trust, a Lecturer at the National University of Sciences & Technology, and a Developer at the University of New South Wales. Ahsan holds a Ph.D. in Marine Robotics and Machine Learning from the University of Sydney, a Master's Degree in Machine Learning and Bioinformatics from UNSW, and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals.
