Mark Canlas

Mark Canlas has a strong work history in the energy and utilities industry. Mark started their career as an Engineer at the National Power Corporation in 1996 and later became a Section Chief at the National Transmission Corporation in 2001. In 2009, they took on the role of Division Head at the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines. In 2011, Mark joined FDC Utilities, Inc. as a Sr. Manager - Marketing. Mark then moved to the Aboitiz Power Corporation in 2014, where they held the role of AVP until 2019. Currently, Mark is working at ACEN as the Assistant Vice President of Development, and they will soon be promoted to Vice President of Development in April 2023.

Mark Canlas attended the University of Santo Tomas from 1990 to 1995, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. In 1995, they also obtained a certification as a Registered Electrical Engineer from the Philippine Professional Regulation Commission.
