Sheryl Laciste-Buena is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in project development and management within the energy sector, currently serving as the Deputy Lead for the Large Scale Solar Group at ACEN since August 2019. Sheryl oversees a 60MW Solar Power Project in Central Luzon, Philippines, and is adept at navigating regulatory and permitting processes. Previous roles include Senior Manager of Upstream Operations at PHINMA, where expertise encompassed petroleum and geothermal project exploration, risk analysis, and collaboration with stakeholders. Sheryl's career includes significant positions at the Department of Energy Philippines, where responsibilities involved hydrocarbon prospectivity assessments and project coordination, as well as foundational roles at Explo Energy Consultants and Forum Energy Philippines, focusing on geological surveys and evaluations. Sheryl holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of the Philippines and is currently pursuing further education at the Asian Institute of Management.
