Maria Pilar Lopez Deber

Maria Pilar Lopez Deber has extensive experience in analytical development and quality control within the biotechnology sector, currently serving as the Head of Analytical Development and Quality Control at AC Immune since October 2004. In this role, Maria Pilar manages a team that oversees the analytical CMC activities essential for the clinical development of diverse product candidates, including vaccines and antibodies. Prior roles at AC Immune include Analytical Development & QC Group Leader and Team Leader positions, where Maria Pilar contributed significantly to product development programs. Maria Pilar began a research career as a Post-doctoral Research Associate at ISIS/ULP, focusing on solid phase synthesis of compounds. Educationally, Maria Pilar holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry, obtained through The Scripps Research Institute and Universidad de Santiago de Compostela, following a comprehensive academic path culminating in a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry.
