Sean Erik Wesslund

Sean Erik Wesslund has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Sean Erik started their career as a House Manager, Box Office Associate, and Teaching Artist at the Metropolis Performing Arts Centre from July 2009 to August 2011. Later on, they worked as a Receptionist (Temporary) at McCall Staffing from March 2012 to May 2012, and as an Admissions and Educational Consultant at ThinkTank Learning, Inc from 2012 to 2013.

In 2014, Wesslund joined Anatomical Worldwide as a Support Specialist until January 2015. Sean Erik then transitioned to Northwestern University, where they served as a Program Assistant (Temporary) from November 2013 to January 2014.

In 2015, Wesslund embarked on a new career path as a Tutor and Contributor to the Curriculum Team at an undisclosed company. Sean Erik independently managed a caseload, curriculum, and scheduling of students, focusing on ACT/SAT/PSAT tutoring for high school students. In the same role, they also participated in curriculum development until May 2019.

From May 2019 to September 2020, Wesslund worked as an Associate Director of 1-on-1 at another undisclosed company. In this role, they designed personalized tutoring plans for students and provided the highest level of customer service.

Following that, Wesslund joined Academic Approach in September 2020 as a Recruitment Manager. Sean Erik developed and oversaw a scalable hiring process for full-time and part-time staff and managed an $80,000 recruiting budget. In January 2022, they were promoted to Director of Talent Success, where they provided employees with tools and resources for success and led the staffing of instructors for partner schools and organizations.

In addition to their academic and recruitment roles, Wesslund pursued their passion for acting. Sean Erik worked as an Actor at Grossman & Jack Talent starting from July 2018.

Sean Erik Wesslund obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Theatre/Theater from Northwestern University, where they attended from 2004 to 2008. Sean Erik later pursued a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Acting from The Theatre School at DePaul University, studying from 2015 to 2018. In addition to their formal education, they obtained a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education in May 2021.
