Jay Pitts-Zevin

Jay Pitts-Zevin is an experienced educator currently serving as an English Teacher at Académie Lafayette since July 2022. Prior to this role, Jay held various teaching and leadership positions at KIPP Kansas City from June 2015 to June 2022, including Teacher and Operations Leader. Jay also taught English at Guadalupe Centers from June 2013 to June 2015 and was a 6th Grade Teacher at Ewing Marion Kauffman School from June 2012 to June 2013. Additionally, Jay worked as a Middle and High School English Teacher at Cross County High A New Tech School from June 2010 to July 2012. Jay earned a B.A. in Sociology/Anthropology from Earlham College, with studies completed from 2006 to 2010, following a high school diploma from Glastonbury High School.
