Robert Heyn has a strong background in leadership and management. Robert began their career as Regional Manager at the LDS Church Colombia Regional Office from April 1981 to June 1990. Robert then joined I-O Corporation as the Director of Marketing from July 1994 to March 2003. Following this, they served as Executive Director at the Pete Suazo Business Center from January 2003 to December 2013. Currently, Robert is the CEO at the Academy for Creating Enterprise, a position they have held since January 2014.

Robert Heyn attended Politecnico GranColombiano from 1982 to 1985, where they received a degree in Systems Administration from the School of Computer Science. Robert later pursued their undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University from 1990 to 1992, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems. Robert furthered their education at Brigham Young University, graduating in 1994 with an MBA degree in Marketing & Finance.

Academy for Creating Enterprise

The Academy for Creating Enterprise is a non-profit organization based in Provo, UT that teaches micro-enterprise education to students in the Philippines, Mexico, Brazil, Peru, Venezuela, and Utah. Currently, there are over 24,000 student graduates of the program. The Academy was founded by Steve and Bette Gibson with the intent to alleviate poverty through necessity entrepreneurship. The core program of The Academy is a five-week course that teaches basic business principles. Additionally, there are regional courses and alumni meetings for graduates of The Academy. Training within the program combines hands-on-experience with classroom instruction to solidify business principles in the minds of students. The Academy is funded through private donations.
