Shane Caterino

MD, External Relations at ACADEMY FOR URBAN SCHOOL LEADERSHIP

Shane Caterino is the MD of External Relations at the Academy for Urban School Leadership. Shane has over 15 years of experience in the non-profit sector, with a focus on community development and philanthropy.

Shane began their career as an AmeriCorps leader with Public Allies in 1996. Shane then went on to work as a corporate partnership manager with City Year, before taking on the role of manager for the PBG Foundation at Pepsi Bottling Group. In 2006, Shane joined HSBC North America as the manager of Community & Philanthropic Services. Shane held this role until 2007, when they transitioned to their current position at the Academy for Urban School Leadership.

At the Academy, Shane is responsible for developing and executing strategies to engage external partners in support of the organization’s mission. Shane also manages relationships with key stakeholders, including foundations, corporations, and individuals. Shane’s work has helped the Academy to secure critical funding and partnerships that have advanced its work in urban education.

Shane Caterino's educational career includes a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Washington and certification from the ASU GSV Summit 2016.

Shane Caterino reports to Donald Feinstein, Executive Director. Shane Caterino works with Michael Whitmore - MD, Teaching & Learning, Scott Macdonald - MD, Strategy & Operations, and Annise Lewis - Chief of Schools.
