Amy Hammer is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in conference management and organizational leadership within the healthcare sector. As the Senior Director of Conferences at AcademyHealth since 2013, Amy oversees the entire lifecycle of conferences and programs, focusing on strategic planning and execution while developing successful learning and development initiatives. Previously, as the Director of Live Meetings at the American Society of Clinical Oncology from 2002 to 2013, Amy managed a substantial team and orchestrated large-scale annual meetings with over 30,000 attendees. Earlier in the career, as the Director of Accreditation for the Commission on Opticianry Accreditation, Amy led administrative and financial strategies to support organizational growth and continuity. Academic credentials include a Master of Public Administration from George Mason University, a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from West Virginia University, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Radford University.
