P. Jasmine Katatikarn is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the fields of 3D design technology, visual effects, and education. Currently serving as the 3D Design Tech Manager for Amazon since January 2022, Jasmine leads a global team to innovate and scale 3D content. As the Chairperson and Co-Founder of the Academy of Animated Art, Jasmine has developed a virtual training program that has educated hundreds of students in feature animation and visual effects. Additionally, Jasmine is the Founder of Life Reimagined, a creativity life coaching initiative aimed at helping clients achieve personal happiness through design thinking and strategy. Prior roles include CG Lead at Framestore and Senior Lighting Technical Director at Blue Sky Studios, with a strong focus on optimizing visual effects and technical direction. Jasmine also has a background in academia, having served as a Thesis Advisor at the School of Visual Arts and an Adjunct Instructor at New York University. Jasmine holds a BA in Economics/Art History from Vassar College and an MS in Digital Imaging and Design from New York University.

Academy of Animated Art
The Academy Of Animated Art was co-founded by Jasmine Katatikarn and Michael Tanzillo. We were two senior light artists at Blue Sky Studios with a combined 20+ years of working on VFX and Animated Films (Ice Age Films, Rio, Ferdinand, Peanuts, etc…). We’ve been in this game for a long time and we know what it takes to get a job in this industry. The problem? We weren’t seeing the skills necessary from people applying for jobs. We would travel on recruiting trips to colleges and universities and students would continuously show us reels that didn’t have the type of work or quality of work to get a job. We set out to change that. We developed a full range of artist-focused 3D animation courses that are geared for everyone who wants to jumpstart their animation career. And we crafted it in a way that will allow you to master all the necessary skills in a fraction of the time and pennies on the dollar compared to traditional schools.
